I've painted at Hotel Wailea and the experience stays with me, the ocean breeze that comes through the tropical gardens, the golden light, and the West Maui Mountains rising in the background like a painting themselves. Hotel Wailea is adults-only, intimate, and deeply romantic, and those qualities come through in the art.
The Anuhea Terrace is surrounded by lush gardens and overlooks the Pacific, it's a contained, beautiful space that gives a painting real character. Even the Treehouse, tucked among the treetops with panoramic views, has a quality I don't find anywhere else on Maui. When the setting is this intentional, the painting almost paints itself.
