The Live Event Painting Experience

I am always on the lookout for unique ways to capture the beauty of the world around us. As a live event painter, I have had the pleasure of capturing the magic of countless weddings through my art. My process involves creating a one-of-a-kind painting that captures the beauty and love of the wedding day. From the first brushstroke to the final touch, each step in the process is carefully planned and executed with the utmost care and attention to detail.

A live wedding painting is a unique way to capture the magic of your special day. Unlike photographs or videos, a live painting is a tangible work of art that can be displayed in your home and cherished for years to come.

The process of creating a live painting is a truly immersive experience that allows me to become fully involve in the wedding day atmosphere.

In this article, I'll take you through the process of creating a live event painting, from the initial consultation to the final brushstroke. So, whether you're looking for a live wedding painting, or just an unforgettable live painting experience for your event, read on to discover how we can turn your wedding day into a work of art.

I highly recommend booking as soon as possible, as my schedule fills up quickly. Some couples book up to 18 months in advance, particularly for popular times like summer and whale season.

As a professional wedding artist, I am honored to be a part of one of the most special days in a couple's life. My goal is to make your wedding day as beautiful and meaningful as possible. That's why I always recommend to schedule a consultation to discuss your vision and help you make creative decisions that incorporate your loved ones and capture your unique love story. The Consultation

You can schedule a free phone consultation before or after saving your date.

I recommend that your live event painting should start with a consultation. This is where we'll discuss your preferences, your love story, and the details of your wedding day. I'll ask you questions about your wedding venue, the colors of your wedding, the people you want to include in the painting, and any other details that are important to you.

During this consultation, we'll work together to determine whether you'd like me to paint the ceremony or the reception. We'll discuss different options and ideas to create a composition that showcases the most important elements of your wedding. It could be a wide shot of the entire wedding crowd, or a close-up of the bride and groom. Whatever your preferences, I will work with you to create a composition that perfectly captures the essence of your special day.

Setting the Scene

The first step in the process is to set up my canvas and painting materials in a strategic location that will allow me to capture the essence of the wedding day. I work closely with the wedding planner to ensure that my painting station is in the perfect spot to capture the special moment.

I arrive hours before the guests, sketching the location and background before the ceremony begins. Before the ceremony is the perfect time to incorporate elements of the wedding day, such as the flowers, decor, and venue, into the painting to make it truly unique.

If you opt for a live wedding painting of the ceremony, I'll sketch figures and take photos during the ceremony that I'll later use to continue painting at the reception.

Capturing the Moment

As the wedding day unfolds, I begin to paint, I use oil paints for my live wedding art because of their quality and longevity. To ensure the safety of everyone at the event, I use odorless medium. Once the painting is dry, I use professional mediums at my studio to finish the artwork.

Each piece of art is unique and inspired by the location, atmosphere, people, and love story of the couple. My style of painting is similar to Impressionism, where the shortest amount of time results in a more expressive and spontaneous expression. However, if you'd like a painting with more precision, Photorealism, and detail, I can spend more time in the studio before and after the event.

Expressing Emotion

One of the most important aspects of creating a live painting is expressing the emotions and feelings of the wedding day. I work to capture the love, joy, and excitement that fills the air, creating a painting that not only looks beautiful but also captures the essence of the wedding day.

Finishing Touches

Once the wedding day ended, I let the oil paint dry, for a couple of days, then I put the final touches on the painting in my studio. This involves fine-tuning any details that need attention and ensuring that the painting is perfect. Finally, I apply a protective varnish to the painting to ensure that it will last for many years to come.

Shipping and Delivery

The cost of shipping is included on each package. Once I complete the painting, I take the time to make any final retouches before carefully packing it to ensure it arrives at your home in perfect condition. The shipping time depends on the package you choose, with the Alla Prima Impression Package shipping 2-weeks after the event, the Retouched Quality Package shipping 3-weeks after the event, the Studio Quality Package shipping 4-weeks after the event, and the Fine Art Quality Package shipping 5 to 10 weeks after the event.

The process of creating a live event painting is a labor of love that captures the beauty and essence of a wedding day or any other special event. As a live event painter, I take great pride in creating a painting that will be cherished by the couple and their families for generations to come. From setting up the scene to putting on the finishing touches, every step of the process is carefully planned and executed with love and attention to detail.
