アリエル・キロス。
あるチリ人アーティストが、愛をきっかけにブラジルに移住し、最終的にハワイにた どり着いた経緯。
1981年、チリ生まれ育ち。肖像画や絵画で知られるようになった。1995年以降は、美術展、写真、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス、演劇、短編映画、教育など、様々な分野におけるコンクール、展覧会、芸術プロジェクトに参加している。
1995年、アリエルは13歳で美術を職業とすることを決意し、才能ある子供たちのための名門美術学校であるLEAに美術を専攻するために応募した。1999年には、絵画とグラフィックアートを専門とする視覚芸術技術の卒業証書を取得し、同年には絵画分野における卓越した参加に対する最高の栄誉賞も受賞した。
2006年、彼はUPLA大学で視覚芸術の学位を最優等の成績で取得し、2010年にはUNAB大学で教育学と高校美術教育の学士号をそれぞれ最優等の成績で取得した。
2011年、アリエルはブラジルのフロリアノポリスへ旅立ち、その後リオデジャネイロへ移り住み、そこでカリフォルニア出身の外国人女性と恋に落ちた。2012年、ハワイに住む愛するミューズに近づき、自身の芸術を分かち合いたいという思いから、彼はメキシコのプラヤ・デル・カルメンへと旅立ち、そこで文化プロジェクトやギャラリーに参加した。
アリエルは、愛する人がホームシックになったためマウイ島への移住に同意し、2013年12月からマウイ島に住んでいます。2015年にはミューズであるヴァネッサと結婚し、現在はラハイナで一緒に暮らしています。
アリエルはこれまで様々な旅を通して、多様な風景、文化、そして人々に触れ、それらが彼のアイデンティティ、イメージ、そして色彩にインスピレーションと影響を与えてきた。教師、アートコンサルタント、そしてアーティストとしての経験を通して、彼は「芸術は常に愛と結びついている」ということを実感した。
