How much does a Live Wedding Painting cost?

My investment begins at $1,800 for intimate, smaller canvases and goes up to $5,200 for a Legacy Masterpiece(30"x40" oil painting). Your price reflects the canvas size, the hours I paint live, and the detailed studio refinement that follows. Each piece is crafted with intention so it becomes a meaningful heirloom you’ll enjoy for generations.

Why is there such a wide price range?

Painting sizes vary in complexity and the level of detail they can capture.

• Intimate Keepsakes (elopements, first looks) are smaller and require less studio time.

• Legacy Masterpieces, like a large 30"x40" museum-quality painting, can take up to 22 total hours to build depth, light, and emotional storytelling.

Larger canvases allow for a richer, more sophisticated scene.

What is included in the package price?

Every package includes:

• Live painting time during your wedding (up to 10 hours for larger canvases)

• Professional, archival-grade materials (oil paint on gallery-wrapped canvas)

• A personal consultation to shape your artistic vision

• Post-event studio refinement and detailed finishing work

• Final sealing or varnish and delivery coordination

You’re receiving a complete fine-art experience from start to finish.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. A 50% deposit secures your date, and we can design a custom payment schedule for the remaining balance. The final payment is due before your wedding day.

Can my painting be finished on the wedding night?

Oil paint requires proper drying time to maintain its rich color and archival quality. I complete 70–80% live so it appears nearly finished, then take it to my studio for final brushstrokes and varnish. This ensures a polished, museum-quality result that will stand the test of time.

What moment should I choose for the painting?

You’re free to choose any moment that feels meaningful. Popular choices include:

During our consultation, I’ll help you decide what moment best reflects your story.

Can I choose who is included in the painting?

Absolutely. You and your partner are always the focus, and from there, you can add:

• Parents

• Bridal party

• Close family

• Pets or special guests

Larger or more detailed groups may require a larger canvas, additional planning, or a small fee, which we’ll clarify upfront.

What type of paint do you use?

I use professional oil paints on gallery-wrapped canvas. Oil paint provides rich color, depth, texture, and long-lasting archival quality.

When will I receive the final painting?

While most of the piece is created live, final studio refinement and proper drying time take 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the painting size and my schedule. I will keep you updated throughout the process.

Logistics & Booking: Making Everything Easy

How far in advance should I book?

Most couples book 6 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak seasons and destination weddings in Hawai‘i. Securing your date early ensures availability.

Do you travel outside of Maui?

Yes, happily. I serve all Hawaiian islands and travel to the mainland when requested. Travel fees include airfare, lodging, and a rental vehicle and are always clearly outlined in your quote.

What setup do you need at the venue?

My painting station requires:

• A 6’ x 6’ space

• Good lighting or access to one electrical outlet

I coordinate with your planner or venue team to secure the best vantage point.

Are you insured?

Yes. I carry full general liability insurance and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to your venue upon request.
