FOR WEDDINGS
A painting with
your people in it.
Your wedding brings together people from different parts of your life. A collaborative painting gives them a way to contribute something personal to the home you are building together.
The artwork might begin with the coastline where you exchange your vows, flowers inspired by your celebration, or colors you would love to live with. As family and friends take part, I guide their marks into the composition and develop the painting around them.
Planned around your reception or welcome celebration, the experience gives guests a moment with the artwork and with one another. Afterward, you keep an original painting that carries something of their presence: a personal heirloom with a story to share.

Give your gathering
a place in the painting.
Invite colleagues, clients, or partners into a shared creative experience. A collaborative painting can be designed for a welcome reception, conference, incentive trip, or company celebration, with participation planned around your program.
We can draw on your destination, event theme, brand colors, or a story that brings your organization together. Approved logos and visual references can be incorporated thoughtfully, with the finished piece in mind.
I work with your planner and brand contacts on the concept and guest experience, then bring the contributions together into an original painting. Displayed in an office or company headquarters, it becomes a visual record of the gathering.

Beyond the traditional
fingerprint tree.
A fingerprint tree is a charming way to collect guests’ marks. In a printed or templated version, guests add fingerprints as leaves to an image that is already laid out.
Live Collaborative Painting expands that idea into a custom work of art. I begin with an original, hand-painted composition designed for your occasion. Your guests contribute to a painting in progress, and I continue developing it with my own painting technique.
The subject and the way we paint together grow from your event, with the finished artwork in mind from the beginning.

From setup to delivery
I coordinate with you and your planner on the painting area, access, lighting, and participation schedule. For outdoor events, we agree on shelter or a suitable weather backup. Multiple participation sessions can be discussed.
Maui first. Across Hawaiʻi, by arrangement.
Inter-island travel is quoted separately, along with any additional packing, shipping, or optional reproductions specified for your project.

Pricing reflects the scale and complexity of the artwork, participation schedule, preparation, finishing time, and event logistics. Share your plans so I can recommend a suitable approach.
A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING
About the experience.
Is the artwork hand-painted or printed? + The collaborative original begins with a custom composition that I paint by hand. Guests contribute to that painting as it develops, and I use my own painting technique to integrate their marks and finish the artwork.
Does it have to be a fingerprint tree? + The painting can take many forms. Fingerprints and other marks can become waves, flowers, foliage, clouds, stars, or areas of abstract color. We choose a concept that suits your occasion and the artwork you would like to keep.
What if our guests have never painted before? + No painting experience is needed for the guided contributions. I select the colors and show guests how their marks fit within the composition. Guests are also welcome to watch the painting develop.
Will every fingerprint remain clearly visible? + Guest contributions become part of the finished composition. Some marks may remain distinct; others may be developed with additional paint, texture, or detail. If preserving particular contributions matters to you, we can discuss that when planning the design.
How many guests can participate? + That depends on the painting, the available participation time, and the event layout. Share your estimated guest count and schedule so I can recommend the size and format. Participation periods are agreed in advance.
Can we include our wedding colors or company logo? + Yes. We can discuss your chosen palette, meaningful imagery, landscapes, and approved brand elements. I consider how these details will work together as a painting, with the design agreed before the event.
How much space and setup time do you need? + Requirements depend on the artwork and participation plan. I confirm the painting area, access, lighting, setup time, and schedule with you or your venue. Outdoor arrangements also account for sun, wind, rain, and a backup location.
Is it suitable for guests in formal clothes? + Participation is guided within a planned painting area. We discuss the contribution method, materials, and cleanup arrangements for your event. Guests can choose to participate or simply enjoy watching.
Can children or guests with access needs take part? + Tell me about your group so we can discuss suitable reach, assistance, and ways to contribute. Young children need adult supervision, and the arrangement is planned around your event and chosen design.
Will the painting be completed during the event? + I paint and develop the composition during the live experience. Depending on the artwork, further studio work may be needed to complete it. Your proposal explains the finishing plan, including any event display and when the piece will be ready for packing or delivery.
Who keeps the painting? Can guests receive reproductions? + The project centers on one original for the couple, organization, or recipient named in your proposal. If you are interested in reproductions for guests, we can discuss feasibility, quantities, presentation, and production timing as a separate option.
How is this different from your other live-art services? + With collaborative painting, guests physically contribute to one shared artwork. With live wedding painting, I paint a scene from your celebration. With live guest portraits, I create individual artworks for guests.
